Ah, Iceland! How do we even begin to explain what we felt, saw, and experienced in words? Probably, it’s impossible and that is why we want to show you 18 Breathtaking Photos of Raw Iceland and its incredible landscape through our eyes and lens. We are starting with the unconventional raw landscape, something you would see while you are exploring, hiking, and mostly driving through this beautiful country. We will talk more about all the popular and must-visit places in future articles!

There are numerous waterfalls throughout the country. It’s just a matter of deciding where to stop!
As you drive through the island, the landscape changes every few kilometers. It’s beyond comprehension to even think of a country so diverse and rich in natural resources.
Southern Iceland has some of the most incredible lava beaches and cliffs. You can’t help but keep your camera always on..
Since the weather is so unpredictable in Iceland, rainbows are very common. They say – if you don’t like the weather in Iceland, just wait for 5 minutes.

Aerial views are even more stunning! Since you drive through a varied landscape, you will be witnessing these often.
Don’t even get us started about the Northern lights. It’s as magical as it looks. The dance of the Aurora Borealis is so beautiful that it can guarantee happy tears in your eyes.
You will see these secluded houses throughout the country. Adds so much perspective to everything around you. Look at that house, it’s under a cliff formed from lava and gives an impression that rocks will collapse any day.

If you decide to go hiking in Iceland, you will see these gorgeous valleys and the stream flowing with the freshest water ever.
Glaciers and glacier lagoons will leave you stunned. We came across this not-so-popular glacier lagoon and were absolutely amazed to see these huge icebergs on the shore. What a sight and experience!
On a sunny day, waterfalls make a perfect picnic spot.
Can we talk about Icelandic horses for a minute? They are the cutest ever and would happily let you pet them.
Coastal views and peninsulas need no adjectives. You can see birds flying around and black lava sand and some incredible views.

Drives in Iceland are on another level altogether. On this particular day, it was raining, the clouds were really low and it gave this moody kind of feel to the whole landscape.
If you see a horse farm, just stop! Go and pet these beautiful creatures.
Where ever you look, you will see a stunning landscape. No wonder we came back with 2 million photos after a week-long trip. haha.
Iceland has these really cozy wooden cottages which you will see all around and can rent for your stay. These well-furnished cottages come with a side of the stunning landscape.

Icelandic churches are the prettiest and you will see them all around. There are some stunning black churches as well, but we didn’t get a chance to photograph them.
This is my favorite of all! We were rushing for restaurant reservations when we passed through a horse farm. Raga couldn’t pull over immediately but he did after a few hundred meters. Thanks to my zoom lens, I was able to capture this shot and a few more of these horses playing and running around the field. What a sight!
Iceland is a photographer’s paradise! You drive down a few kilometers and the landscape completely changes.
